The iconic retro refrigerator by Smeg Australia that features a curved profile and 50s styling has now been released in a deluxe black velvet finish.
The FAB28 refrigerator, in black velvet soft touch lacquer finish, made its Australian debut at Designex interior design exhibition in April 2010. Even though this refrigerator has a truly retro styling, its features and technology are very much of the 21st century.
These refrigerators have a total capacity of 271 litres (246 litres for refrigerator and 21 litres for freezer) and feature and automatic defrost. FAB28 retro refrigerators have three height adjustable glass shelves, a chrome wine rack and eight door compartments for dairy, charcuterie and condiments. A fruit and vegetable crisper drawer is also included.
While the black velvet soft touch lacquer finish was popular at the Designex exhibition, the new canary yellow colour struck a chord with the colour seekers.
Smeg FAB28 retro refrigerators are now available in 16 colours and effects. All retro refrigerators offer high octane visual impact for all kitchens and can be supplied with a left or right hand hinged door.
The FAB28BV black velvet and FAB28RG canary yellow refrigerators are available nationally from appliance specialists, electrical retailers and some department stores.
