Whitegoods have stepped into new territory with the release of a range of appliances aimed at turning the average home into a high-end entertaining area.
Innovator and style-guru, Smeg, has released the Wine Cellar Collection – five deluxe wine fridges that will cater for everyone from the occasional social drinker to the dedicated wine enthusiast.
Top of the range is the side-by-side wine cellar and bar fridge (SWC120X-1).
Encased in sleek stainless steel with twin triple-pane glass doors, the SWC120X-1 cellar and bar fridge houses up to 18 bottles of wine in one side and 54 cans or bottles of beer in the other.
Each side has its own digital temperature control with a blue-lit LCD display for precise temperature control.
For example, one side can be set at 7ºC for a crisp white wine while cans of lager and bottles of ale are maintained at an icy 3ºC on the other.
The SWC120X-1 cellar and bar fridge, measuring 870mm high, 600mm wide and 600mm deep, can be built-in or freestanding, underbench or elevated.
Each side has interior lights, adjustable wire racks, rear fans, levelling legs and door locks.
Other options within the same range are the wine cellars in four different sizes with a capacity of 43, 70, 94 and 120 wine bottles.
The wine cellars feature double-layered tempered glass door, precise digital temperature control, low noise and LCD temperature display.
Each appliance is in a matt stainless steel cabinet featuring smart white oak shelves – the SWR359 measures 1850mm in height, the SWR299 1550mm, the SWR229 1250mm and the SWR139 850mm.
All are 595mm deep and 605mm wide.
