Shutter Concepts has been awarded the contract for Aluminium Screens by Thiess for the Harbour Lights project in Cairns. This is an eagerly awaited development in Australia, having been designed by world-renowned architects Denton Corker Marshall.
Shutter Concepts will be providing various styles of aluminium screens with a central feature to the centre of the building called The Drum. This open void is shaped like a peanut and runs through all levels to the roof.
Manufactured from vertical panels, the curved surfaces of The Drum provides testament to an inspiring structure.
The powder coat finish will incorporate a pattern of two different shades completing a visual vista that will be a constant talking piece for years to come.
The design of the building has extensive use of many differing styles of screens, pivoting shutters, pivoting doors, pergolas, sliding screens and ventilation louvres. Ideal products for the tropical north.
