General AdvantagesThermobreak is a flexible insulation material made from fire retardant, cross linked closed cell polyolefin foam, flame fused to reinforced aluminium foil. As it is also available with an adhesive backing it can be quickly and easily installed. This material’s superior insulation is due to its low thermal conductivity value (k) (.032 W/mk) and its almost zero vapour transmission rate, so will not absorb or allow the spread of water vapour. Thermobreak insulation is also fire rated: AS1550.3, BS 476 part 6 and 7, ISO 5659, UL 94
