A large 10.4 metre SeaShell awning, from Seashell Industries , was recently fitted to the Kirra Surf Club on Queensland’s Gold Coast.
The SeaShell awning creates waterproof and shaded area over a large deck that overlooks the beach and ocean that is approximately about 39 square. Sea breezes that hit Kirra Beach can sometimes exceed 40 km/h, but the design of the SeaShell awning is easily able to handle gusty coastal winds.
The SeaShell awning is manufactured from corrosion resistant powder coated aluminium, stainless steel and high quality PVDF fabric and will provide years of trouble free service, even in extreme coastal environments.
When wind gusts exceed 60 km/h, the SeaShell awning automatically retracts. The SeaShell awning can also be retracted easily at other times to allow winter sun to shine through.
SeaShell awnings are available from authorised distributors around Australia.
