Samsung Electronics has reinforced its presence in the 400 litre plus refrigerator market with its new refrigerator range.
Developed with the aim of keeping Australian consumers’ food fresher for longer periods of time, the six models in the new range feature Samsung’s innovative Silver Nano anti-bacterial technology. Preventing the spread of bacteria, the Silver Nano technology sanitises and deodorises the surfaces that come into contact with food, preserving food for up to 15 days longer than standard refrigerators.
Keeping energy conservation top of mind, all six models, which range from a 423 to 502 litre capacity, feature a four to a four-and-a-half star energy efficiency rating, positioning the new range as one of the most energy efficient refrigerators available in the marketplace.
According to Samsung product manager Mike Lilly, the new 400 litre plus range will mirror the extreme success that Samsung achieved in the side-by-side market.
“Samsung has gained the number one position in the side-by-side market having launched only six years ago,” said Lilly. “We believe that the new series mix of innovative technologies and feature-rich models will lead to Samsung achieving the same success in the 400 litre plus refrigerator category.”
To ensure optimum cooling, the new range comes with Samsung’s Cool Curtain cooling technology providing three dimensional cooling from the ceiling, sides and back of the fridge, to distribute cold air to every corner and crevice of the refrigerator, guaranteeing maximum freshness of even the most easily perishable foods like fruit, vegetables, seafood and meats. The new series combines cool curtain cooling with Samsung’s Cool Buster and Multi Airflow technologies, ensuring even and fast cooling of the refrigerator for greater hygiene and freshness.
According to Lilly, the technology incorporated in the new series raises the bar in Australia’s refrigerator market, while also reaffirming Samsung’s position as a market leader in this product space.
“The Silver Nano technology incorporated in the new series adds an extra dimension to the range, making it one of the safest and most hygienic refrigeration products available in today’s marketplace,” Lilly says.
Samsung’s new range is available in platinum and white finishes. All models also feature user-friendly electronic control panels and safety glass shelving to prevent spillages.
