Brisbane-based company, Retracom Insulated Panels, installed the insulated panel system and doors to the freezer and chiller chambers as well as the fine wine and chocolate rooms for the Coles Regional Distribution Centre in Adelaide.
Retracom is a huge privately owned manufacturers and installers of insulated panel systems and transportable buildings.
It is family owned and operated business consisting of four divisions: Transportable Building Manufacture and Sales; Transportable Building Hire; Insulated Panel Manufacture and Supply; and Insulated Panel Installation.
This sub-contract package involved the supply and installation 40,000sq m plus of FM approved panels from Coles’ nominated panel manufacturer, Kingspan. Retracom also installed the door systems for the receival and dispatch docks.
“Retracom’s southern installation manager, Robert Downes and site supervisor, Dave Kenyon and his team earned themselves the reputation of keeping the project to schedule,” said Ben Baird General Manager Installation.
“With the brilliant leadership of the Qanstruct’s team and the support of Coles consultant that was easy to achieve.”
The team involved in the successful completion of the Adelaide contract is now working on the larger Coles Chilled Distribution Centre in Sydney for the builder, Qanstruct.
With projects both along the east coast and internationally, Retracom has completed similar installations for a number of the supermarket chains, and is currently involved in the fifth stage of a cold store complex in Vietnam for Swire cold storage.
