Each piece is hand crafted using traditional cabinet making skills and fine quality kiln dried solid timbers and veneers.
Features
The Residence furniture range features hand made joints including interlocking mortise and tenon joints on all dining chairs, hand carved drawer runners and hand finishing of all interior and exterior surfaces. Hand carved decoration and marquetry highlight some pieces.
High quality fittings in brass or stainless steel from Europe and the US include fully concealed hinges. Customers can select their upholstery from a wide range of high quality fabrics, leathers and unique horsecloth or can opt to supply their own.
Up to 10 coats of lacquer, a natural product collected from the Lac tree, are applied by hand to highlight the beauty of the wood and protect surfaces from marking and damage.
The lacquer finish is highly resistant to heat and liquids, making it ideally suited to dining, bedside and entertainment furniture in particular.
Special sizes and configurations such as extra long beds can also be catered for.
