The problem of the damage caused by graffiti vandals to the public furniture has been challenging for those in-charge of public open spaces and parks, including financial officers, for a very long time.

However, Erlau, a supplier of outdoor furniture based in Swabia, Germany, have now announced that this could be outdated if one chooses wire mesh benches and seat units that are coated with a new type of anti-graffiti coating.

Erlau provides special coatings. With these specialised coatings, all kinds of paint marks can be wiped off easily and completely with biologically degradable paint removers without affecting the colour stability, risking premature peeling and impairing Erlau's characteristic temperature insulation effect.

Erlau coating also reduces the soiling by dust and air pollution (for example brake dust from rail traffic).

This new type of specialised coating has a non-porous structure and is water-repellent. It ensures that wire mesh furniture dries more quickly. The UV rays help this special coating of colours of outdoor furniture to remain stable for a long time.

Erlau also offer Siesta models of bench with a protective shield, adding it to its current specially priced range in good time for the start of the holiday season.
