Exin External Insulated Cladding tames hot and cold
Outstanding insulation is the key benefit of the Exin external insulated cladding system.
This, plus its strength and versatility give energy conscious architects or builders all the design freedom they need to achieve the crucial five star energy rating.
At its heart is an inner core of expanded polystyrene. A combination of unique membranes traps and holds air to provide insulation. Air is a poor energy conductor and resists the passage of heat through the building panel. An R value of up to 2.70 can be achieved with the 100mm panel. Exin can negate the need for expensive double glazing in many instances – saving thousands of dollars.
Exin products insulate and clad in the one operation. Combining these two steps leaves wall cavities free to enable quick installation of services such as wiring and plumbing, avoiding the need for traditional fibreglass batts, saving both time and money. As an inert product, Exin is safe to handle and does not produce the discomfort associated with the installation of fibreglass insulation.
More than insulation, the polystyrene core of Exin is treated with Perform Guard® for termite resistance, then reinforced with the Exin fibreglass enhanced surface coating technology, comprising an alkaline resistant 5mm fibreglass mesh bonded to the surface with a primary render. The durable textured surface is ready to accept basecoat renders to achieve a variety of finishes. The Exin coating provides strength to the polystyrene and impact resistance against everyday backyard knocks. Exhibiting at Designbuild, Stand J20. For more information, contact RMAX .
