Engineered Steel Lintels
The Pryda Lintel is an engineered steel 'L' section that is fastened to the prefabricated wall frame at the truss plant and delivered to site in a neat stack. The Pryda Lintel's major benefits include a once off deflection which results in a reduction in costly call backs for the builder and a lightweight and easy to handle building frame.

Lintel Benefits for Timber Wall Frames

Engineered - Pryda truss plants select the appropriate Pryda steel lintel for the prefabricated wall frame using Pryda's licensed software.
Once Off Deflection - Eliminates costly call backs that can sometimes occur with timber lintels as they gradually deflect over time and cause cornice cracking and sticking sliding doors.
Lightweight Prefabricated Wall Frame - Easier to handle on site, especially at heights and therefore reduces the potential for workplace injuries. Timber lintels typically add 10 to 15kgs to the weight of a wall frame.
Reduces Window Head Heights - With the growing trend of large floor to ceiling windows the builder is faced with restricted head heights. Pryda Lintel combined with timber reduces the depth of timber required.
