The AWISA 2008 exhibition (Australian Woodworking Industry Suppliers Association) is shaping up as the ideal forum for the industry's software specialist to exhibit its technology in applied scenarios.
Planit is putting through its paces the powerful Planit software, which has been extensively developed for the cabinetmaking for more than 20 years.
To businesses looking forward to see how Planit software operates, AWISA offers the ideal way to have their requirements catered by the software - with visible outcomes.
Current customers as well as those not serviced by the company can visit the Planit stand to see how their own work can be designed and sent to different woodworking machines.
The point of difference in this display is that visitors can explain their individual requirements to Planit specialists, who will then use the information and demonstrate how the software can act upon it.
The next step, it will be demonstrated how these designs are sent to a CNC machine highlighting the production sequence.
This entire process is known as nesting, an approach the cabinetmaking industry is adopting rapidly, because it minimises operating costs and can cut down fabrication times by as much as 75%.
This year’s AWISA show will be held at the Sydney Exhibition Centre in Darling Harbour from July 2 to July 5. In tandem with this event, Planit is also holding a Breakfast of Champions on July 4, where some of its main clients will explain to delegates the fundamental operating improvements that are being used by using Planit software.
