Dairy Farmers Stadium in North Queensland home of the North QLD Cowboys NRL team, recently became the first location in the world to install new 16m fibreglass rugby league posts from PILA Group .
PILA’s fibreglass goalposts were selected by Stadiums Queensland in place of steel or aluminium for their strength, durability and innovation. The better environmental sustainability of the fibreglass posts was also a bonus.
PILA General Manager Reece Wooldridge and PILA Australasia Production Manager Craig Patrick flew to Queensland from Sydney to oversee the installation of the fibreglass goalposts and offer any assistance and advice required.
PILA’s new 16m fibreglass goalposts comprise a 3-piece design to enable easy transportation, which can simply be slotted together to form one pole at the final installation site.
To further simplify the installation of PILA fibreglass goal posts, a unique custom bracket system is used to clamp the cross bar to the uprights. The brackets are adjustable at both ends of the crossbar so the crossbar can be levelled even if the ground is uneven.
PILA's fibreglass rugby league goalposts are designed for daily use and comply with Australian and European Standards, and appropriate safety and sports competition standards. All fibreglass goal posts are supplied with a 5-year warranty.
