Orford Refrigeration is a commercial refrigeration equipment manufacturer, employing over 180 people. Orford Refrigeration products are in use throughout Australia and are also exported to the South Pacific Region. Orford Refrigeration initially started as a soft drink manufacturer in 1923, located in Toowoomba, Queensland.
Orford Refrigeration serviced the State of Queensland with soft drinks and aerated water, becoming a household there. In order to improve the commercial display and sale of its products at the optimum temperature, Orford Refrigeration started in 1962 to design and build its own refrigerated merchandisers.
These merchandisers proved so popular, that Orford Refrigeration began producing refrigerated merchandisers for other beverage manufacturing and selling companies, and eventually ceased soft drink production in 1989.
Orford Refrigeration products can be found in use by several national and international companies such as Coca Cola, Pepsi Cola, and Cadbury Schweppes, Sheraton, Hilton, Hyatt and Holiday Inn groups, Red Rooster, KFC fast food chains, Carlton & United, beverage companies, Woolworths supermarkets, 7-11, Franklins, and Caltex and Shell service stations, to name a few.
