Ontera Modular Carpets obtains Sustainability Advantage Bronze Member status

The certificate was presented to Ontera Marketing Manger David Rowlinson by the Hon Carmel Tebbutt MP, NSW Deputy Premier and Minister for the Environment and Climate Change. Ontera was highlighted as a leader in the field of environmental sustainability and was specifically commended for the following initiatives:

1. Reducing energy consumption by over 40%
2. Reducing on-site CO2 emissions by over 19% in the last two years
3. Development and implementation of local reuse and recycling initiatives resulting in over 500 tonnes of used carpet tile being diverted from landfill
4. Pilot analysis (with Dunlop flooring) to assess the viability of providing waste trim as a post-consumer recycled filler for carpet underlay
5. Development of fully recyclable non-PVC backings from alternative recycled components
