Onity has appointed John MacKeil as a regional sales representative for the company’s education division sales team.
Based in Greenville, S.C., John MacKeil will represent Onity’s entire line of specialised electronic locking solutions and provide consultation to educational facilities, colleges, and universities throughout the Southeastern U.S.
Onity is a unit of United Technologies. Prior to joining Onity, John MacKeil held the position of eastern regional sales manager/southeast regional sales manager for DSX Access Systems.
With his extensive experience and expertise in online access controls and offline locking systems for the education market, John MacKeil has a thorough understanding of the special security measures required at university facilities and residence halls.
Throughout his successful 28-year career in fire, security, access control and system integration sales, John MacKeil has risen from account manager to regional manager through the implementation and execution of national account management strategies, sales training, and marketing and business development.
He is a member of the American Society for Industrial Security (ASIS), a graduate of Western Connecticut State University, a former member of the Monroe Police Department in Monroe, Conn., and a Veteran of the U.S. Navy.
