Steve Makins appointed as new CEO for Nubian Water Systems
Steve Makins has been appointed as CEO for Sydney-based, Nubian Water Systems. A qualified chartered accountant with extensive experience in CEO and marketing roles both in Australia and South Africa in the distribution of technical product, he will commercialized Nubian’s potential throughout the region.
Commenting on his new role, Steve Makins said, “ I am extremely excited to have joined the dynamic team at Nubian. I will be drawing on their high motivation and technical strength to further expand our business in delivering environmentally responsible technologies into the market; namely our superior, award-winning OASIS greywater treatment systems and Homespring drinking water purifiers.”
Steve Makins’ experience in distribution of technical product is appropriate to the distribution channels of plumbing and irrigation specialists as well as major builders of new homes offering environmentally sustainable design.
Makins said, “We see a great opportunity for the Oasis in new house construction. In a climate of extreme water scarcity, the Oasis makes houses water efficient by recycling up to 40% of household greywater every day. This means that a recycled water supply is there every day of the year for gardens, laundry and toilet flushing. And with gardens comprising up to 10% of the home’s value, new home owners will find the Oasis a great long term investment.”
He continued, “Soon to be released developments with existing technology will see Nubian servicing the multi-housing installations and aged care cluster housing.”
