Acoustic brick ties
Resilient wall ties manufactured by Novaplas have an important function transmitting all the static forces required for structural reasons but have sufficient resilience at acoustical frequencies to have minimal transmission of structure borne sound.

One leaf of the wall may oscillate as a result of impingement by forces at acoustical frequencies with minimal transmission to the other leaf.

Novaplas’ resilient ties are classified as a medium duty masonry tie which consists of a one piece tie moulded from an engineered polymer with soft over moulded resilient ends.

These acoustical frequencies are experienced in buildings such as apartments and villas with cavity walls separating one residence from another.
