A wide range of equipment from New Holland Construction is helping Picton Power Lines successfully install overhead and underground power lines in western Sydney for over a decade.

Based in Tahmoor, New South Wales, Picton Power Lines has been installing power lines to homes and businesses across western Sydney since the late 1970s. New Holland Construction has been part of Picton Power Lines’ success for more than a decade.

According to director and fleet manager, Brian Hunt, precision is critical to ensure worker safety since they work around live power lines.

New Holland equipment bought by Picton Power Lines include Models LX665 and L185 skid steer loaders in addition to a B110B backhoe loader and E50B mini excavator.

Purchased from New Holland Construction dealership Tri-City Trucks in Smeaton Grange, Brian is very happy with their service quality and prompt same-day back-up.

Referring to their latest piece of New Holland equipment, the E50B mini excavator, Brian says that their main operator on the machine, Luke Kinell is very happy with its performance.

Key advantages of E50B mini excavators include comfortable seating, superior visibility from the cab, plenty of power, responsive hydraulics and high precision for the safety of their employees.

Picton Power Lines employs 12 machine operators and most of the operators prefer to use the New Holland equipment.

Their B110B backhoe operator, Craig Grundy says he’s been really impressed by the backhoe’s efficient and powerful electronic engine that offers excellent power when using the loader.

He also mentions the equipment’s excellent digging force, great hydraulics and fuel efficiency.

Picton Power Lines uses its New Holland equipment on projects for an impressive list of clients including property developers, the Roads and Traffic Authority as well as Sydney Water.
