The New Holland Construction Equipment plant in Lecce, Italy, celebrated a major milestone last month: the production of its 100,000th machine.
The plant serves about 70 countries, including Australia, and exports 80% of its production. New Holland Brand Director, Wayne Munce, said the milestone was indicative of the quality and innovation of New Holland products.
“The fact that there is enough demand for us to have produced 100,000 machines at this plant says a lot about New Holland’s reputation in the market place. This impressive milestone reflects the excellence of our production processes and our machines.”
Built in the early 70s, the Lecce plant is one among New Holland’s global centres of quality for the production of telescopic handlers sold in Australia, as well as wheel loaders and crawler dozers.
This plant produces 26 models of telescopic handler with almost 1,500 versions, 10 models of crawler dozers in 120 versions and 20 models of wheel loaders in almost 900 different versions.
All this is made possible by modern production processes, variable mix assembly lines and a specialist workforce.
New Holland is a global, full-line construction equipment brand, with a network of 700 dealers and more than 1,800 outlets in 100 countries.
“In Australia, New Holland owners are supported through a national network of more than 15 dealerships, with expert sales and service staff and the backing of 24 hour, seven days a week access to over $75 million dollars worth of parts. Our commitment to quality products and service is evident in everything we do.”
