Neatrol Systems provides full duplex optically isolated RS232 to RS485 serial interface, the OPTO232-485, that is capable of carrying data at a distance of over 1200 metres, and up to 115 Kilo bits per second, with 3000 Volts of isolation. The OPTO232-485 from Neatrol Systems provides an inexpensive and convenient solution to hard-wired industrial and commercial communications.
Neatrol Systems’ OPTO232-485 features a 12 Volts, direct current (DC) operation that allows battery backup, 4-wire full duplex with no flow control and optical isolation. The latter prevents damage due to ground imbalance and current loops. Fully manufactured and designed in Australia, OPTO232-485 is best applicable in access control, security panels, industrial telemetry and any other application that require long distance hard-wired RS232 communications.
