The Matrex Cold Patch cold applied, permanent NRS - National Road Sealing , have a unique ability to expand with the surface of a road, whether it is asphalt, concrete, steel or timber. The product is suitable for the repair of potholes, road edges, utility cuts, and cracks in bitumen and asphalt roads. These are all weather asphalt repair systems that can be installed in both cold and hot climates and during rainfall.
The cold mix repair systems are available in 20kg bags and have a conveniently indefinite shelf life. The mix does not require a tack coat and can be opened to traffic instantly. Unlike other cold mix asphalt road surfacing repair systems that are a temporary fix, Matrex Cold Patch works permanently. It is not an emulsion and curing is activated by impact (not evaporation), meaning that Matrex remains water tight even during extreme rainfall.
