Merida hand-woven Mexican Hammocks have the following advantages:
- Hand woven: Mexican Hammocks are hand-made by indigenous Mayan Indians of Mexico.
- Uniqueness: Each hammock is individually made by a weaver. The weavers choose their own patterns and colours, which results in unique products.
- Quality: Hammocks are individually made, weighed and quality checked. Each hammock takes 15 to 30 days for completion.
- Comfort and support: Hammocks are made using a special inter-woven, diamond weave pattern that provides comfort and support. This pattern also allows air to circulate through and around the body preventing sweaty patches that can occur from other pieces of outdoor furniture.
- Fine cord: Each hammock is woven with thousands of metres of fine soft cotton and/or nylon cord that moulds around the body.
- Portability: Mexican hammocks are strong and light in weight, which makes them easy to hang, suitable for travelling and compact for storage.
- The hammocks weigh between 1 and 1.5kg.
- Versatility: Mexican Hammocks can be used in gardens, terraces, holiday homes, camping trips and boats. Hammocks are suitable for indoors or outdoors. They can be used with trees, decks, fences or posts by screwing or bolting onto internal or external walls, ceilings or beams.
