Master Painters must be fully qualified and highly experienced
Established in 1895 by industry professionals for the benefit of the industry, the Master Painters Association Victoria and Tasmania is a division of the nationally recognised association of the same name.

The association’s mission "to provide a service to our industry members and consumers to the fullest extent" underlies all that it does.

It caters to painters and painting companies of various different sizes and their work spans commercial, residential and professional projects.

Customer satisfaction is high on the association’s agenda, and it helps customers locate the professional painter who best suits the needs and requirements of their particular project.

Furthermore, all of the association’s members must:

  • Be appropriately qualified, with a Cert III in Painting & Decorating
  • Have public liability insurance
  • Be registered
  • Provide references
These requirements help to ensure that the interests of consumers are protected when they enlist the services of a Master Painters member.

The association produces a trade news magazine for its members on a quarterly basis and Pipeline, a fortnightly e-newsletter which contains industry news, event details, policy changes and any other information of relevance to the painters industry.

Members are also invited to access the association’s extensive range of resources, which contain information relating to:

  • OH&S Policies
  • Risk Management Policies
  • Enterprise Bargaining Agreements
  • Charge out and wage rates
  • Costing guides
The association provides painters with the opportunity to attend a range of networking events, including golf days, awards nights and product launches, as well as regular general meetings.
