In response to greater stress placed on awning fabrics due to the increased use of motorised awnings, Markilux has developed Ultrasonic Bonding, an adhesive to weld fabric covers.

This new high-compression overlap adhesive bond replaces the need for double stitched seams. Markilux Ultrasonic Bonding offers higher durability of awning covers and eliminates any fraying of threads through roller support.

It is heat, cold and water resistant as well as being UV stable offering protection from premature aging through UV radiation or environmental influences. Ultrasonic Bonding is available on all Markilux folding-arm and window awnings and is suitable for swela® Sunsilk and swela® Acrylic fabric covers.
