Egress pathways can now be made fit for safe passage in all lighting conditions with ecoglo, available from Century Floor Safety .
This glow-in-the-dark guidance strip is designed to be visible for over 100 hours after the lights go out. It is charged from overhead and natural lighting and is claimed to be four times more effective than any comparable product. Available in many products including floor strips, stair treads and handrail strips, ecoglo guidance strips reduce slips, trips and falls in dark and emergency situations, helping to guide people to safety.
The products can be fitted to the edge of steps in public stairways, exit ways, performance stairs and anywhere that path finding in darkness is an issue. It can also be fitted to handrails, making it easier to negotiate stairs or other pathways in the dark.
Accredited with the International Code Council which required ASTM tests for performance including luminance, washability, non-slip performance and resilience, ecoglo is US, Australian and NZ building code compliant.
