Made in The Shade Aust is specialised in providing quality outdoor umbrellas to markets in both Australia and overseas. Made in The Shade Aust products are highly designed for commercial applications. The firm has supplied quality umbrellas to several restaurants, resorts, schools, etc all over Australia and to over sea customers.
Made in The Shade Aust uses quality fabric known as canvas in designing its quality umbrellas canvas has many uses. Canvas is a strong durable cloth and has been used in outdoors, as awnings, blinds, tents, tarpaulins, boom covers on yachts, mail-bags, umbrellas.
The different types of canvas used are acrylic canvas and polyester-cotton canvas. The acrylic canvas is used for outdoor purpose. It has no natural fibre yet it is dope- dyed, so it is colour fast. There are different grades of acrylic canvas. There is the lighter grade and heavy duty marine grade.
These heavy duty marine grades are used for outdoor umbrellas. It is suitable for all climates and does not require periodic waterproofing. As for polyester-cotton canvas, is ideal for non-humid climates. This canvas needs to be re-waterproofed once each year. As the cotton being a natural fibre, there is a small amount of maintenance required.
