M-Elec recently released quick-reference wide beam lighting angle comparison charts, designed to show the beam angle and distribution of light of various fittings installed at standard heights of 2.4m or 2.7m.

The amount of lighting in a room is as important as the colour, décor and fittings. Beamed lights can transform any room if applied correctly and effectively. However, beam angles may be simple to read but understanding their importance is crucial to getting the right effect for the client.

These quick reference charts are designed to help specifiers and lighting designers accurately identify which product from M-Elec’s range of downlights and strips are suitable for various applications. It shows the approximate spread of the light at floor level and at 900mm (for bench or desk height).

These wide beam lighting angle comparison charts can be viewed on the M-Elec website.
