A new generation of bollards designed to provide enhanced protection against terrorist vehicle attacks will be demonstrated at Australia’s largest security exhibition, 24-26 August.
Australian company Leda-Vannaclip undertook impact tests on anti-terrorist vehicle bollards made primarily of ultra-strength composite barrier mix with reinforcement bars at the Transport Research Laboratories in the UK last year and again in June.
Originally produced to combat ATM ram-raids, the anti-terrorist vehicle bollards have been developed to prevent the entrance of hostile vehicles onto property or into buildings, and offer a high degree of cutting resistance against overt and covert attacks.
Leda-Vannaclip will showcase the anti-terrorist vehicle bollards and present two open sessions on hostile vehicle mitigation at Security 2009 at Sydney Convention & Exhibition Centre.
Leda-Vannaclip is one of more than 130 brand and industry leaders attending Security 2009, which will demonstrate the latest developments in security technology to over 4500 industry visitors. Other exhibitors specialising in barrier protection and perimeter security include AGP Door Systems, Australian Security Fencing, Harcor Security Seals, BFT Australia, FAAC Australia, Image Bollards, Gunnebo Australia, Magnetic Automation, Perimeter Systems Australia and TAFE NSW - Sydney Institute.
Security 2009 will provide an opportunity for visitors to see complete solutions for barrier protection and perimeter security, along with access control, CCTV, theft prevention, biometrics and risk management.
