LedFX have announced the release of the latest generation of LED downlight that is a genuine replacement for the MR16 50W halogen. The new EcoLite 3x3W LED lamp has the same 50W light output but uses a fifth of the energy a standard 50W halogen requires, making this LED lamp a more sustainable lighting solution for either commercial or domestic applications.
With the EcoLite LED MR16 lamps, users can run five lamps on one 50W iron core or regulated transformer and can save on installation costs. The EcoLite 3x3W LED MR16 lamp has an output of 700 Lumens and is available in Cool White with a colour temperature of 500 to 7000K, and Warm White with a colour temperature of 3000 to 4000K.
The EcoLite 3x 3W LED MR16 lamp is environmentally friendly as it needs only a fifth of the energy to operate, has a lower operating temperature than halogens, contain no mercury and sodium and have no UV emissions. With a 60 degree beam angle, the EcoLite LED MR16 lamp has a life span in excess of 50,000 hours. By using solid state light emitting diodes, the EcoLite 3x3W LED MR16 lamp is maintenance free.
The EcoLite 3x3W LED MR16 lamp comes with the fitting which fits directly into the same aperture as a standard halogen fitting, LedFX can also supply iron core or regulated power supplies if required.
