LINAK Australia recently launched two new features for the OPENBUS system: “Clean Me” and “Check Me”.
The new options help to upgrade hygiene levels and more effectively control cleaning intervals. The introduction of the new features result in a more effective use of resources and help to lower hospital costs.
Clean Me
In the medical sector, cleanliness is very important, and a high level of hygiene is imperative. In order to help optimise the cleaning process of beds at hospitals in a hygiene effective and economic way, LINAK has invented the extension-box “Clean Me”. To the patient the “Clean Me” function means reduced risk of infections, which in the end leads to shorter hospitalisation. To the hospital porter and the nurse these functions mean release of time for other purposes in a busy working day.
The “Clean Me“ system sends a signal, if the bed or any medical equipment needs to be cleaned. The cleaning intervals can be set individually. The “Clean Me“ system supports the systematic accuracy in cleaning the beds and it warrants a high standard of hygiene.
Check Me
Beds have to be inspected continuously so that all functions and safety installations work perfectly. The “Check Me” function makes it possible to conduct maintenance on beds on a regular basis instead of waiting for breakdowns, which are expensive and inconvenient for both patients and hospital staff as it prevents an effective and optimised patient flow.
The “Check Me“ system sends a signal as soon as an inspection falls due. The inspecting intervals can also be set individually – there is the possibility to set a time interval or after a certain number of cleanings. With the new LINAK system hospitals can keep their bed in good condition and organise the service in a more efficient and economic way.
