With the help of a tractor-drawn rotary hoe from Kennards Hire ’s Groundcare division, Concord Golf Club has created a new green.
Mark Parker, course superintendent at the golf club explained, “The rotary hoe enables us to mix in the existing turf surface to provide organics in the soil profile. We then strip the soil for later re-use as top soil.”
Concord Golf Club was established in 1899 and has hosted several championship tournaments including the Australian PGA, NSW Open and ANZ Championship.
“We call on Kennards for equipment that’s not needed all that often because it saves space and maintenance.” Mark said.
