KBS Passive Fire offers different passive fire protection equipment. Foamcoat C11 provided by KBS Passive Fire is basically a trowelable intumescent caulk that is suitable for providing fire protection of electrical cables and plastic pipes. This is composed of flame retardant chemicals, fillers, pigments as well as water based thermoplastic resins. This intumescent caulk provided by KBS Passive Fire is devoid of asbestos, halogens and solvents.
Fire stopping mortar seal is passive fire protection fire equipment designed by KBS Passive Fire. This mortar seal is composed of dry mortar mix which has a controlled swelling effect. This feature of mortar seal offers non shrinking as well as homogenous seal for several cable penetrations. KBS fireproofing mortar seal functions by expanding upto three percent thereby providing crack free as well as tight seal.
Panel seal designed by KBS Passive Fire is composed of mineral wool panels that have been coated with KBS firestopping coating. These fire retardant panel seals can be installed either as double or single panel seal. Pipe seals provided by KBS Passive Fire consist of a round steel casing that has been divided into two halves with heat expanding inner shell as well as an additional mechanical strangling device. On exposure to fire, the inner shell starts expanding resulting in the formation of thick and strong foam thereby sealing the entire penetration in the wall.
