Stone Shield Plus is a sandstone protection treatment that provides an invisible, water repellent, protective barrier for sandstone, resulting in long lasting sandstone protection from harsh outdoor elements. Stone Shield Plus is a durable sandstone protection treatment that maintains the original texture, colour and appearance of sandstone, while repelling water which comes in contact with the surface. With the treated sandstone surface remaining dry in wet conditions, moss and algae are unable to grow and cause unsightly texture and colour changes to the sandstone.
Independent testing on sandstone treated with Stone Shield Plus, kept continuously under warm water for four months at an outdoor thermal spring, showed that the Stone Shield Plus sandstone protection treatment prevented algae growth completely. Sandstone not treated with Stone Shield Plus sandstone protection and kept underwater showed algae growth within a few weeks.
