The 2012 Intergrain Timber Vision Awards invites architects, landscape architects and interior designers from across Australia to showcase their innovative timber design skills.
Now in its third year, the Intergrain Timber Vision Awards celebrate the innovative ways timber is used in residential and commercial projects. Categories in this year’s awards include Exterior Residential, Interior Residential, Exterior Commercial, Interior Commercial and a new category, Landscape.
Intergrain Brand Manager, Krystal Brabham said that the Intergrain Timber Vision Awards aim to continually celebrate industry professionals who inspire with creative and innovative timber design.
The previous year’s event attracted entries of high calibre with the organisers expecting a higher number of entries in this year’s competition. She explains that entries need to demonstrate the significant role timber plays in design projects today.
The prestigious judging panel for the 2012 awards includes John Wardle, Principal at John Wardle Architects and 2011 Intergrain Timber Vision Award Winner, Rowena Marsh, co-founder of MCK and Director of Interiors, Cameron Bruhn, Editorial Director at Architecture Media and Sarah Nadenbousch of DuluxGroup.
In addition to industry exposure, winners will also receive a $2,000 cash prize plus Intergrain products to the value of $5,000. Entries open on Monday 16 April and close on Saturday 23 June. The winners will be announced in August.
Past winners have included John Wardle, Design Studio, Circa Architecture, Wolveridge Architects, Elenberg Fraser, Facet Studio, Grove Architects, Riddel Architecture, and Weian Lim of Matt Gibson Architecture + Design.
