Liebherr expands information alliance with Immersive Technologies
Liebherr has chosen to expand its licensing and technical information alliance with Immersive Technologies to include the company’s range of hydraulic mining excavators and shovels. This follows the alliance signed in 2005 for the Immersive T 282 B simulator representing an ideal haul truck.
Liebherr will now work with Immersive Technologies to develop training simulators for the Liebherr range of excavator and shovels.
The first Liebherr mining excavator represented in a simulator is Liebherrs current flag ship the R 996. Other models will follow imminently given the market’s demand for simulation products for enhanced operator training for mining machines.

Immersive Technologies holds licensing and technical information agreements with Original Equipment Manufacturers (OEM), including; Liebherr Mining Equipment, Liebherr France SAS, Caterpillar, Komatsu, Hitachi Construction Equipment and Bucyrus.
These companies collectively supply the majority of the world’s mining haul trucks, excavators, shovels, dozers and ancillary equipment.
