The state’s most outstanding lighting projects will be recognised and celebrated at The NSW Chapter of the Illuminating Engineering Society (IES) annual Lighting Awards to be held at the Ivy hotel, Sydney, October 16, 2009.
President of the NSW Chapter of the IES, Vessi Ivanova, said every year, the calibre of the submissions is always of a very high standard. The 2009 NSW IES Lighting Awards submissions span several industry sectors, including retail, hospitality, sport, transport and the arts.
Each entry into the IES Lighting Awards program is judged on its own merits; The IES Lighting Awards program is not a competition. Two types of awards are given: Award of Excellence or Award of Commendation.
Submissions to the IES Lighting Awards program are judged by a panel of objective industry experts on criteria including style and structure, architectural and environmental design, originality of concept, visual comfort and appropriate application, energy effectiveness, adherence to budget constraints and operation and maintenance.
