The Inline Systems sales team, located on Sydney’s Northern Beaches is marketing a video inspection tool named Aquacam throughout Australia & New Zealand. This product is used for underwater vessel hull inspection, identification of algae build up and other contamination around the surface of hulls, trim tabs, waste outlets, and keels.
Aquacam remote video inspection system is suitable for almost anywhere that is difficult to get to without having to slip your vessel or send a diver underneath to inspect problems. Aquacam II & III remote video inspection systems are lightweight, modular and portable video inspection tools that let your eyes travel where you can’t. Combining a CCD camera and TFT-LCD display technology, this video inspection system delivers crystal clear, full colour video.
Adam Walsh (Sales Manager) of INLINE Systems Industrial Division said the Aquacam remote video inspection system is modular in design so it can be easily configured to inspect behind most areas you can see into but can not physically reach. Snake Eye achieves it’s versatility with an interchangeable camerahead that can be attached to a rigid wand; accessory poles are also available for further reach.
The camera can also be attached to your finger with the included finger attachment. The unit comes equipped with a full range of accessories and also displays analogue and USB video IO capabilities, which allows the user to connect to a standard laptop or DVR record and play back images.
Another excellent feature of the Aquacam remote video inspection system is its robust design, allowing it to function in harsh industrial environments. It is constructed of high impact, heavy duty plastic that can withstand shock & vibration. Aquacam II & III also resists water, dust and dirt particles and can also be used where grease and non-solvent based chemicals are present.
Important features are a light weight, compact display unit (less than 2 lbs.) this houses a high resolution (640x480 pixel) full colour 5” TFT-LCD display and rechargeable battery pack. The Aquacam II display screen has a built in protective, plastic cover and can be rotated to maintain proper image orientation for the viewer. Designed for easy one-handed operation, Aquacam II the display unit contains three colour-coded push button controls. It also features Power On/Off, camera Head Light On/Off for operating in low light conditions and brightness adjustment to see better in bright light conditions.
The overall housing is not that dissimilar to the SE II, although image orientation is electronic and the waterproofing kit means that the entire unit, including the camera head and the display screen can be submerged underwater. This provides a quantum leap for the applications of Aquacam 111.
