Hunter Douglas Commercial Sunscreens: New colour, new texture

Hunter Douglas Commercial  has introduced a colour palette for its Ecoview Plus and Extraview Plus Sunscreen Fabrics to now include several darker colours that meet the Green Star requirement of light transmission of less than 10%.

When connected to a Building Management System with manual override, these particular fabrics contribute points to the IEQ-4 Daylight Glare Control Green Star assessment for buildings specified by the Green Building Council of Australia.

In consultation with a colour trend expert, the new colour palette consists of 18 colours for Ecoview Plus and 20 colours for Extraview Plus fabrics. The earth-coloured range has an ideal texture, optimising the current trend for earthy, textured fabrics.

Hunter Douglas Commercial Sunscreen Fabrics feature a fibreglass core and a PVC coating for good solar optical properties – including heat protection, shade factor, glare reduction and UV protection.

By reducing the level of light and heat transmitted into a building, Hunter Douglas Commercial Sunscreen Fabrics can significantly reduce energy costs by decreasing the burden on internal heating and cooling operating systems.

Woven in Australia, Hunter Douglas Commercial Sunscreen Fabrics are a stable product due to the glass core. The PVC coating is controlled with micro precision, ensuring ideal regularity of the fibre and guaranteeing both transparency and sharpness of view.

All colours meet Australian standards for colour fastness and also meet General Requirements of the Building Code of Australia for fire retardancy, making both Ecoview Plus and Extraview Plus suitable for residential and commercial applications.

For commercial applications with extra large windows Extraview Plus and Ecoview Plus fabrics are now available in three metre widths.

Developed and designed in Australia is the new Ellipse Rail Balance, which features a sound proofing bumper with a 60% increase in weight.

The new rail ensures the sunscreen fabric hangs and rolls straight – meaning THE sunscreen product looks good and lasts longer.
