Hunter Douglas Commercial Softwave Façade Systems available

Softwave Façade Systems
The new Softwave Façade Systems from Hunter Douglas Commercial offer a multitude of design possibilities due to its signature perforated curved line panels, which creates a contemporary visual appeal as well as delivering a range of practical benefits.

Used in sun control applications, Softwave is a highly effective way to reduce heat transmittance while maintaining privacy due to the perforated panel design. Softwave also effectively regulates light and noise, while preserving airflow and the view to the outside.

“Softwave was originally developed in Chile, which has a very similar climate to Australia,” said Neil Weatherstone from Hunter Douglas Commercial.

“We have already had a huge amount of interest from local architects and specifiers who are impressed by both the high performance and aesthetic appeal of this product,” he added.

Made of 100% aluminium at 0.8mm thickness, Softwave is a recyclable product, making it an environmentally sound building choice for a number of applications, including exterior and interior cladding, sunscreens and ceilings.

Softwave is also highly durable, with good strength and corrosion resistance properties to ensure a long lifespan and maximum sustainability.

The exclusive HD Color-Cote polymer finish applied to Softwave resists ageing and maintains its original colour over time.

“This finish is made up of a high molecular weight polymer that gives effective resistance against ultra-violet heat, light, humidity and oxygen,” said Weatherstone.

“The fine, smooth finish hinders dirt retention and is virtually self-cleaning in the rain, thanks to the gloss level that is applied.”

The Hunter Douglas Commercial Softwave Façade Systems are available in three model types, 10, 25 and 50 which offer a range of curved panel sizes to cater for individual aesthetic and coverage requirements.
