Building and construction competition and awards
ATLAS Copco Compressors Australia is on a quest to find Australia’s most ingenious user of compressed air. To enter the competition, provide a short outline of how the compressed air is being used, keeping in mind issues of safety, environmental protection, energy saving and productivity. THE Housing Industry Association and Vero (formerly known as Royal and SunAlliance) are currently accepting entries for the 2004 Australian Professional Builders Awards, which will be held in April next year. To promote quality and professionalism in the housing industry, the awards will recognise builders in three categories: Professional Major Builder (builders of new houses, apartments or units with an annual turnover of over $20 million); Professional Small/Medium Builder (an annual turnover of under $20 million); and Professional Renovation Builder. ENTRIES for the Australian Institute of Building ’s 2004 Professional Excellence in Building Awards are being accepted until 15 March. The awards recognise excellence in the organisation and management of building and construction projects, and also recognise individuals who have demonstrated excellence in their role as a building professional. Nominated projects must have been completed or put into service within the last 18 months.
