Paintings and artwork of Helen Wiltshire exhibited in Helen Wiltshire Gallery
Helen Wiltshire Gallery exhibits a range of its own work which includes originals on canvas as well as limited editions and prints in posters. The outlets of the Helen Wiltshire Gallery can be found in Palm Cove and Mission Beach, Far North Queensland, Australia.
Exhibits at the Helen Wiltshire Gallery also include pastels and works on canvas by Diana Crooke, sculpture in bronze and timber by Ben Trupperbaumer, paintings by Ed Koumans, Angie Denahy, Julie Poulsen and Ken Brinsmead, jewellery by Liz Gallie and several other works done by North Queensland artists.
Helen Wiltshire is one of the renowned artists in the tropical north. Her richly-coloured and bold paintings reflect movement and abundance which is typical of North Queensland, Mission Beach and the Wet Tropics. There are colourful fish and richly textured shells found in the work of Helen Wiltshire splashed on canvas.
The visual expression is drawn from the wonderful landscapes and wildlife of world heritage rainforests and the Great Barrier Reef in the area where Helen Wiltshire lives. In search of a new lifestyle, Helen left her successful carrier in fashion designing back in Melbourne. She has lived in mission beach for about thirty years where she was first inspiration for painting.
