A full 75% of the enclosed area can be opened to the outdoors by moving the sashes all the way down or up. In fact a 100% ventilation area can be obtained if you wish to remove the sashes using the release buttons.
Can open top and bottom windows together to enjoy cooling air movement through room.
Can open top window sash only to allow smoke or hot air to escape - e.g. in summer.
Can open bottom window sash only to allow fresh air in while trapping warm air in top part of room - e.g. in winter.
The insect screen on the outside provides excellent protection from unwanted bugs and insects.
