Subi Centro was created when the Subiaco Redevelopment authority transformed a former industrial wasteland into a vibrant inner-city community.

An important part of the urban renewal project was the construction of an underground tunnel and railway station.

The tunnel was constructed in two sections, with the new underground station dividing the east and west tunnels.

Open at ground level with two elliptical openings, the station is a strikingly irregular complex shape.

Under a single responsibility service contract, HH Robertson provided project management, design detail, manufacture, supply and installation of vitreous enamel panels to the station wall linings.

Selected for its durability and low maintenance, vitreous enamel panel is resistant to corrosion, abrasion and graffiti, making it suitable for public spaces.
