Stone-based surfaces become slippery when wet and the risk of slips and falls increases. Grip Guard Non Slip offers an anti-slip floor safety treatment that equips stone-based surfaces with the anti-slip properties required for them to be safe for pedestrians.

Grip Guard’s anti-slip floor safety treatment is a long-term solution for slippery floors. Unlike an anti-slip floor coating, this anti-slip floor safety treatment permanently alters the surface pore structure of tile, stone and concrete floors without changing their appearance.

Recently, Grip Guard assessed the floor safety concerns in CSL offices in Melbourne. Pedestrians often track water over the floor tiles in the foyer area of the building and management at the facility feared that this was creating a slip and fall risk.

The slip resistance of the floor surface in the foyer was raised by Grip Guard’s anti-slip floor safety treatment from an unsafe to a safe level, as measured using an ATSM slip meter. Grip Guard recorded the numerical results on the warranty for the job, providing CSL with proof that they have exercised an adequate ‘duty of care’ for employees and visitors to the building.
