A central Queensland-based coal mine had some OH&S concerns on the work site with slippery surfaces of heavy earth moving machinery workshop.
Queensland Anti Slip Solutions, the local floor safety representatives for Global Safe Technologies Australia , were asked to propose a slip resistive, environmentally friendly and proven sustainable solution to eliminate such risks.
The management also required that certain specific colours be used and the project be completed on the basis that it will not disrupt normal operations. The requirement included highlighted walkways in the demarcation of the workshop area. After evaluation of various solutions, the management decided to go ahead with the solution proposed by Queensland Anti Slip Solutions.
Queensland Anti Slip Solutions were chosen for their proven sustainable, slip-resistive products and their applicability to the environment.
The job has been completed within the agreed time and the management and employees are satisfied with the knowledge that the solution would provide an OH&S compliant and safer work place for years to come. The new demarcation lines assist all employees and drivers attending the workshop.
