NZI Centre, Auckland are currently under consideration with the New Zealand Green Building Council to become one of New Zealand’s Green Star Office Design buildings, with an up to 5 Green Star rating. Global Safe Technologies NZ have been chosen to provide slip resistant stair nosings.
NZI Centre in Auckland have been designed to achieve New Zealand Green Building Council Green Star Office Design 5 Star rating. By innovative design, it has been ensured that this purpose built building meets their commitment to do their part for climate change.
Global Safe Technologies NZ were selected by Development Manager, Newcrest Group, to apply their Safe Grip stair nosings to the precast concrete exterior fire egress stairs for this new environmentally friendly building.
Global Safe Technologies NZ product, Safe Grip, completely meets the NZ Building code requirements for slip resistance and luminance. The product proved to be suitable for this new building because of its unique application and its longevity.
By applying the product directly to the surface, bacteria cannot build up between the stair surface and the stair nosing, as can happen with the alternative product options, such as the screwed down, glued on or adhesive strips. Safe Grip stair nosings, because of the unique application, require minimum maintenance.
