anti slip coating solves Toyota Park surface signing issue ">Toyota Park management has noted that they had issues with the slip resistance of the pedestrian walking and road signs. The line marking paint that was used was smooth and when it got wet posed a risk of a slip and fall incident.
Toyota Park management required a sustainable anti slip coating which would provide the same functionality as the signs but would also provide an improved slip resistive surface.
They have contacted the team from Global Safe NSW to propose them with a suitable solution.
After visiting the site, assessing the situation and having detailed discussions about the requirements, the environmentally friendly Floor Tuff Green polyurethane anti slip coating was proposed to provide the business park with a long lasting anti slip solution.
The product has recently been independently tested in situ after application and have achieved a Pendulum Class V classification using a TRRL rubber. This means that the floor surface contribution to the risk of slipping when wet, is low.
The sustainability of the product is backed up by the independent Accelerated Wear test report, giving peace of mind to clients regarding how long the solution is going to retain its slip resistive quality.
Due to the size of the project, it was broken down to 3 stages. Stage 1 and Stage 2 are now completed and Stage 3 is underway. Toyota Park management is satisfied with the result as since the installation of the new signage no complaint or incident was reported.
Global Safe’s risk management programme called ‘The Floor Safety Maintenance Program’ or ‘FSMP’ is also offered to the client ensuring ongoing monitoring and reporting of the surface condition.
