Galvin Engineering has announced that it recently received final approval and certification to ISO 14001, ending a two year project to secure the certification.

This two year project involved the resources and cooperation of the entire company, along with four separate audits over a five month period.

The project involved:
  • rolling the system out to all staff and bringing a fundamental change across all aspects of the business;
  • updating all current systems to include ISO 14001 clauses; and
  • the development of new registers and increasing levels of monitoring and reporting.
Galvin Engineering states that being ISO 14001 certified compels the company to focus on the environmental impact of its business, and is designed to provide the tools with which to measure how effectively that impact is managed.

In addition, Galvin Engineering will be audited each year to ensure that the company is making positive changes to reduce its ongoing environmental impact.
