Galvin Engineering has been awarded the Third Generation Family Business Awards Western Australia for 2009. This is the third win for Galvin Engineering, following wins in the 2006 and 2007 Third Generation Awards.
Family Business Australia is the peak body for family and private business in Australia. Their members include multi-generational family businesses, first generation operators, multi-sibling/cousin owned businesses and their advisers.
The Family Business of the Year Awards are unique in Australia. These awards celebrate the achievements of Australian family businesses and their contribution to our life, economy and culture.
All businesses (both public and private) are able to enter the FBA awards, provided they are substantially owned and operated by a family or group of families and meet the following criteria:
- A solid record of financial performance and stability
- Respect within their fields
- A demonstrated commitment to the ideas of family business
- Demonstrated good corporate citizenship through involvement in the communities in which they operate
Galvin Engineering will now go on to compete in the Third Generation Award category at the National Family Business of the Year Awards to be held at Darwin in August 2009.
